Exploring Moral Messages In The Nussa Animated Series Episode “Jangan Sombong” As An Educational Learning Medium

Abstract

The Nussa & Rara animation has become a popular educational medium among Indonesian children. The special episode, titled "Don't Be Arrogant," conveys a strong moral message about the importance of humility and the dangers of arrogance in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the moral message in this episode as a learning medium, particularly in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary school level. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and content analysis of video content and related educational journals, it was found that this episode incorporates material on faith, morals, jurisprudence, the Quran and hadith, and Islamic history in an engaging and contextual manner. The findings indicate that the moral message "avoid arrogance, maintain humility" can serve as an effective learning foundation for shaping children's character. Furthermore, this animation aligns with the national education curriculum and regulations, such as Law No. 33/2009 concerning Film. It is recommended that teachers integrate this episode into their lessons through screening strategies, discussions, and creative projects to enhance students' moral understanding and learning motivation.
